Green Turtle Cay is only 3 miles long and a mile wide at its widest point.
With the ocean on the East side and the Abaco Sea to our West, it is lush with greenery, birds, curly tail lizards and land crabs.
Our Island is quiet and unassuming – no casinos… no crime. It is a time warp of the Old Bahamas with a perfect mix of modern conveniences. Visit the local restaurants, shops and historical sites, but be sure to stop and talk to the local Bahamians. Their stories and smiles will last longer than the t-shirts they sell.
The island’s most popular form of transportation is a golf cart. As you travel the unpaved road, you will quickly reach the town of New Plymouth on the South end of the island.
Rich with history and charm, the town of New Plymouth was once the capital city of The Bahamas and is a sister city to Key West, Florida, USA.
Take the time to see the Memorial Sculpture Garden, and stop by the Albert Lowe Museum. You will leave with a deep appreciation of the Bahamians and their diverse heritage.

The Bluff House is a Proprietary Club Resort, located on the most special piece of property in Abaco. Featuring the Island’s only Private Beach on the west side, where one can take in the amazing sunsets whilst soothing oneself in your hammock, watch the same from the Historic original Main Clubhouse, sitting upon the highest point on the island, or watch the day dawn from the expansive decks of the Bluff House Yacht Club on the east side where you can pamper your Yacht in the safe haven of White Sound Harbour and pamper your palate at the“Jolly Roger Bar & Bistro.”
Enjoy a relaxing swim in the Jolly Roger fresh water pool, or take in a game of tennis on the Club’s tennis court, hillside with tremendous views of the harbour and the ocean beyond.
The Bluff House was the first and is the oldest Resort in the Bahamas’ Out Islands, founded in 1952 and the Main Clubhouse, the original home of the founders, sits atop the islands highest point and is available for those special functions and family reunions.
